Oh right ok, i just noticed that he kept posting Wilts/somerset so thought he didn't know about Kermit

Very easy to wander into Wilts if you aren't paying attention and the border guards are on their break  Grin  For me tho, it's easier to fall into Devon, close your eyes briefly when you sneeze on the road and you are suddenly in foreign lands  Grin

Well then you need to fall into Devon on first Tuesday of month and vist the Devon/Cornish bretheron.. you could survey your former seat of power while your at it... Grin Grin

I've not seen him on here much i must admit mate but he's probably busy like the rest of us trying to earn a decent living. if you go to the members link at the top of the page and open up Kermits profile you could PM or e-mail him mate.
I know your getting a bit fed up mate but please stick with it as BTW is a great thing to be part of, try and put a few lefelets out in your local pubs/ biker hang outs and stuff and try to get yourself some other people interested in the triking world mate.
Like i said before i'm the RC for Devon/Cornwall and as yet non of the members have turned up to the meetings but thats OK people have lives to be getting on with and BTW is totaly non comitment we just do what we enjoy and if they fancy a ride out one night and meet up well all the better but if not we will just catch up at other venues through out the year.

Sorry to hear you felt it was an unfriendly rally Commando.  We did try and get round to speak to everyone who came to the rally but, as we were actually working nearly every hour of the weekend, day and night, we must have missed speaking to you.  Can I suggest that next time you attend a rally and there are other BTW members there you go up to them and speak to them.  We had many many members at the rally last year and many of them were, like us, working all weekend to esure everyone enjoyed themselves.  Yours is the first time we have been told that it was an unfriendly rally and have been told by many members and non members that they enjoyed themselves and the happy friendly atmosphere.

I did actually try to start up a couple conversations but to no avail , they seemed more interested in sticking to there own private crowds .. i guess its like alot of clubs/associations .. if your not part of the crowd you become just another face or invisible .. i was at the bar getting a drink on one occasion and a rather drunk BTW member started chatting to me, but all he was banging on about was the oriental bar staff .. i cannot repeat what he said to me, but i thought he was bang out of order . And as for someone asking if i was a member .. well what more can i say !  Cool

Commando 1966
Hi & Hello.
The reason we do not post onhere very often is because the wife works on average a 12 hour day to help pay the bills. While I am trying to build up the business and move it forward. We have been running the company for just over a 12 month through a very difficult time. We are attending rallies and shows most weekends so as you can see we are busy and getting rather tired!
Next week end we are at the Motorcycle Muster in Beaulieu, pop in for a chat if you are going.
We are also going to Sheffield. We also hope to visit Punky at a meeting, although it is when the wife is on earlies and she has a 6.00am start so another long day.
We have met some of the crew that post on here at the Wooton Bassett Run and Nabd 19 rally.
We would love to have the time to socialise more. We spent 4 plus years as reps for our local Goldwing Club, organising rallies and international events, plus fund raising for charities, raising approx £3,000 a year. We have stepped back for the reasons mentioned before. All things are possible in life if you want to meet people arrange a time and place in the middle of where most people are in Wilts & Somerset. Do somthing positive instead of berating everyone else. You just never know someone might come to it. All things have to start and evolve somewhere.
Hope to meet up soon Wink

Kermit iam glad to hear you are busy Bro .. iam not "berating" people mate .. ive put out "several" posts to meet up .. but it seems everyone is busy 24/7 .. maybe iam the only member unemployed .. i joined the BTW UK to meet like minded people , to meet up and make new mates, i thought that was why these associations were made up .. like ive said before Bro im not sure how many members there are, but it seems like there is just a couple dozen close knit members .. Not really what i had in mind or expected .. if i don't find work in the next couple weeks i wont be able to re-new my membership anyway .. just a shame everyone is too busy to meet up more regular .. cheers Bro   Cool

As we have said make an arrangement and you never know someone might turn up.
What sort of work are you looking for?
